Hi Eric

We met at the Friends of Hylands Bookshop a few weeks ago. I kept your website address but mislaid your email address. I am the speaker secretary for Baddow U3A and would like to book you as a speaker. Please email me when you see this. I am sorry it has taken me so long to contact you, but I had to sort out the dates for 2011 and then wait for another speaker to confirm his date.

Thanks Linda :o)

I thoroughly enjoyed Distant Horizons. I couldn't put it down and I didn't want the story to end. I hope you sell millions!

Hi Eric,

I finally got to finish the book. It took longer than I expected because the Best Mate started reading it at Cavalcade and took it home while I laboured up the Thames to get the boat back to Banbury. Her only comment was "It's a page turner!"

I found it to be that too. It isn't a very nice story is it? However, it has a moral value to it. I do not like the fact of life that the innocent suffer and the guilty get away with their crimes. This was a constant complaint of the Psalmist...'Why do the evil prosper?" You didn't allow that o happen but I look forward to the sequel. There is much injustice to sort out. You have left the fate of the 'creature of the dump' in the balance. His only crime was naivety!

I enjoyed our chats at the Little Venice Cavalcade and would love to talk some more. We are both travellers in life and on the waterways. Unfortunately I am not quite as free as you in the latter as I need to be in Banbury during term time as my boys are still at school/college. Other times we are away on the boat. When you come up the South Oxford, do make contact, especially if you notice SONFLOWER on her mooring. Otherwise, if you see her ahead of you, make sure that we do not pass like ships in the night. I would love to chat some more over an ale or two.

I wish you deserved success with the book and look forward to the sequel.

Best Wishes
